Wow.  It's been a long while since I have posted!  Life has been crazy busy and I'm traveling all over the place.

I just got back from Berlin this weekend.  It was a great trip - it could only have been better if James was able to go with me.  Unfortunately with working on the NHRA bike he wasn't able to meet me after my meetings were done.  Sightseeing wasn't nearly as much fun without him!

Speaking of the bike, here is a picture of it.  It is really pretty and I have a uniform that matches!  I am now an official hard card carrying member of the NHRA!  Hee hee.  I'm officially the team "gopher".  We start racing in late June in Ohio.  After that I'll be traveling on 7 more weekends all over the country with the team - I can't wait!  I'm also taking a class to learn to ride motorcycles as a surprise for him - I'm hoping to get my own bike soon.  (My parents are going to freak!)

James and I leave for Boston next friday.  I have meetings there the following week and we are going to spend the weekend together before they start.  I'm looking forward to it.  I have been going to Boston once a month this year and I really love the city.  Our offices there are right by Faneuil Hall and I enjoy exploring after work is done.  Good stuff!

Brady leaves this weekend for his Summer Camp at the lake.  With all my traveling, he is heading to NH to stay with my parents until September.  They are so excited to have him.  I hope I get him back.  Since Brady will be right on the lake, I wanted to make sure he could swim.  I took him to an indoor dog pool for swimming lessons.  He was a bit afraid at first but he got the hang of it.  Here is a picture!

Mr Moose - Now Missing a Hoof

While waiting to go to the gym (with everyone turing over a new leaf to work out in January, the gym is now packed) I fell asleep on the sofa.  I woke up to hear crunching from Brady.

He has a big moose toy and he had managed to rip its hoof off and munch on the stuffing.  When I said his name, he sat up and looked at me with a piece of stuffing hanging from his mouth.  He had this look on his face like, "Mom I didn't do anything..."  The stuffing told another story.  I'll post a picture later.

Brady Brady Brady....

Anniversary day

 Today is my anniversary with James.  I get as excited to see him now as I did that first time he walked in my door all those months ago.  Sometimes you just "click" with someone and it is right from the begining.  We have much in common but much to learn from each other too. I like that our relationship is never boring and we continue to learn from one another.

James challenges me to try new things, live on the edge a bit and strive to be a better me.  I think I have met my match.  Life is good and I am happy.

I bought a new riding jacket this weekend with built in body armour.  With fall approaching, I figured it would get much use.  I love riding with him and leaning into the curves and feeling his body in front of mine.  You sort of become one with the bike.  It is a lot of fun.  In 2008, I'd like to master riding by myself.  I can do it!

I am happy and content and enjoying myself very much.  It is a nice feeling.  I am at peace with my body, mind and self.  I feel confident in who I am and where I am going.

I am a big believer that things happen for a reason.  Looking back, I made some foolish choices over the last year but I came through them and am a stronger person now.   Every mistake teaches you something.

I am also very much in love.  And it is a feeling that seems to be growing rather than fading... Life is good and I am a happy person.  I am lucky.
I am happy and life is really good.  I wake up sometimes and wonder how I got this lucky. I just feel safe and content and at peace with myself and the world.  It's a really nice place to be in life.

I went to the farmers market this morning and had a cheese danish.  It was so yummy.  I also got lots of beautiful fruit and vegetables for us to cook this weekend.  James is coming over from Milwaukee around 3pm today and we are going to grill tonight.  Then we are off to meet friends at the beer tent at Waunafest.  It should be a fun evening.

Tomorrow we are heading to the WI Dells to be tacky tourists.  We are doing a duck tour, playing mini golf and then going for dinner at the Del Bar restaurant.  I like our weekends together so much.  There is a comfortableness of being together that I haven't had with anyone before.  It just feels right and we mesh.  I get tingles when I look at him and he makes me smile to my soul.   The months we have been together have just flown - and he excites me as much today as he did on our first date.  :)

My life is good....and I am thankful....

I am happy...

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.

Hotlanta here I come!

James and I are waiting for our flight to Hotlanta as we speak.  I'm excited to see him race in Atlanta (I know he won here last year).  And we are also going to the aquarium on Monday - in another life I wanted to be a veterinarian for whales.  I wonder how my life would have turned out had I actively pursued that path...  I'm pretty happy right now with my life - so I can't think it could have gotten any better!

James leaves for Switzerland next week for his trip to the Italian MotoGP with Michael Schumacher.  After that they return to the US and go riding in Northern California.  I'll really miss him while he is gone!  But then he is back and I'm taking a day to spend with him in Milwaukee. (And I'm leaving for Boston, NYC and Wilmington again too.)  Our lives intersect and when they do, I am in heaven.  We are going to the US MotoGP in Laguna Seca in July - that should be a great time.  I love that track - it winds around the hills and is a thrill to watch.

I'm happy.  Life is good...

MMMMMMM...I'm really looking forward to the 17th.

Love wagons and warm fuzzies...

I started my morning by getting a Valentine from Jeff. It made my day. MMMMMMMM. I'm still smiling.

He's a hard one to read but so far I like the first chapter.

Gentlemanly acts

Very few times do I get surprised by someone. Jeff went and cleaned my car off so I could drive home. Very sweet. We had a nice dinner and watched ROME and the Grammys. Very cozy. He even got me ice cream for dessert.

I had a really nice evening. It was a great way to end the weekend. I drove home with a huge smile on my face. I hope he knows that...
